Privacy Policy — Movie Slider
Fed Republic (“we”, “us”) provides the Movie Slider mobile application (“App”). This policy describes what data we collect, why we use it, and your choices.

What we collect
- Account: email address and age you provide at sign-up (passwordless authentication via our auth provider).
- App activity: swipe actions (like / dislike / skip), bookmarks, watched flags, and genre preferences — stored to run the service and personalization.
- Movie metadata: titles, images, and related information from The Movie Database (TMDB), shown in the App.
- Analytics (optional): if you allow it in the App or Settings, Firebase Analytics may collect usage events. You can withdraw consent anytime in Settings.
- Diagnostics: on native builds, Firebase Crashlytics may receive crash and error reports to improve stability (no free-text you type in the App is intentionally sent as part of crash reports).
- Optional tips: you may buy voluntary in-app tips to support development; they do not unlock features. Payment is handled by Apple or Google; we do not receive your full card details. The platform may share limited purchase confirmation with us.
How we use data
To operate accounts, sync your library and recommendations, process optional tips, fix bugs, comply with law, and communicate about the App when needed. We do not sell your personal data.
Processors & hosting
We use Supabase (database, authentication, server functions) and Google Firebase (analytics when enabled, Crashlytics on mobile). TMDB supplies public movie data. Apple and Google process in-app payments. These providers process data under their terms and assist us only as instructed.
Retention & deletion
We keep data while your account is active and as needed for security and legal obligations. You may delete swipe history and bookmarks in Settings. To delete your account and associated personal data, contact [email protected].
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us at the addresses above; we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
The App is not directed at children under the age required by your region to consent to data processing. We do not knowingly collect data from young children.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new date above and, where required, ask for your consent again in the App.
